If you know me (and by know me, I mean “if you follow me on Instagram”), then you know I really love a good sweater dress. Like, REALLY. love. There’s something to be said about one-piece outfits. You don’t really have to think about pants, or matching.. Just one and done.Read More
I hope it’s not too late to share (it’s not) my picks for your fall wardrobe staples! From colorblocking to plaid blazers and teddy coats, there are some really fun fall trends happening this year, beyond your typical chunky knits and leggings - But don’t worry, there will be plenty of that, too! Incorporating some of these pieces into your wardrobe should be easy, as they’ll likely compliment many of the pieces you already own…Read More
Is it too soon to start reflecting on the summer? Definitely, maybe. Sometimes, in my mind, I feel like I keep waiting for summer to start - But, not only has summer started.. it's come, it's here, and it's winding down, folks. How did that happen?!Read More
My office is dangerously close (as in a short walk across a parking lot) to a pretty solid Super Target, so there's not much product that comes through Target's doors, that I don't know about. Try meRead More
Hi friends! I’m a little late to the party with my President’s Day sale wrap up BUT you’ve still got tonight and all day tomorrow to get your shop on! I’m working to find a schedule that has me posting to my blog a little more frequently and consistently – Here and there, those plans would include roundups of my favorite sales, so please let me know what you think!
As we near the end of winter and our cold weather wardrobe (please!), retailers are really marking down winter styles, so there is plenty of opportunity to get great deals on chunky sweaters and warm coats. But, you don’t have to shop these big winter sales solely to stock up for next year, there’s also a TON of deals on new spring styles! If you take your time to flip through the markdowns, and keep an open mind when it comes to styling (think: cutoffs with a cute sweater or layering) you can score a sweet start to your spring wardrobe.
The five sales that I shopped today (I’ve linked below my favorite pieces from each of these retailers below!):
H&M – Up to 60% off select styles + 20% off $100+ with code 5360
Okay, this striped sweater (I'm modeling above) is really cute, and exactly what I had in mind when I mentioned the sweaters with cutoffs styling idea - The navy and white stripe has a nautical feel that will definitely carry through the summer. This sweater has a slightly high-low hem which makes it perfect for tucking, and is a super soft mohair-blend.. Not bad for $18! I've linked up a few of my other H&M favs below, as well. Also loving this tie hem blouse in white, the cotton seersucker and cuffed flare sleeves are SO cute and fresh - This top with some medium wash denim and spring mules... heart eyes.
Gap - Up to 50% off select styles + extra 20% off and free shipping with code PRESDAY
This adorable little off the shoulder blouse is one of new favs! So far, I've paired these fun polka dots with overalls and high-waisted denim and I cannot wait to to pair it with (again) my favorite denim cutoffs for the summer. Another versatile top that you can start wearing now under a cardi or jacket, and will carry you through to the warmer months.
Anthropologie – Extra 40% off sale, no code needed
This Anthro sale is a black hole of everything I want my wardrobe and apartment life to be. I didn't want to get too carried away (but you really should), so I just linked up this super cute graphic sweatshirt. Still a little pricey, but the cotton terry fabrication is SO soft, and the fit of this sweatshirt is on point - Casual and comfy, but still really feminine and really, really cute for layering.
Express – 40% off everything, no code needed
So much spring goodness coming from Express right now. I love each of the dresses linked below, and am especially into this striped jumpsuit - The cinched waist is super flattering, as is the ankle length hem. I've had my eye on this garment for a while, and with the new markdown, it may just be coming home with me at last.
aerie – BOGO bikini tops and bottoms + 30-60% off select styles
So, I've never purchased aerie swimwear before, but with a BOGO deal on bikini tops and bottoms happening, I'm feeling like there's no time like the present. I love that their styles are simple but stylish, and that you can shop the tops by bra size! I'm opting for a strappy triangle top and high waisted bottoms - Can't wait to try it out! Also, if you're into one pieces, like me, all of those are $30 through Monday!
This time of year, I always start missing color and brightness a bit. I grow tired and bored of camel, burgundy and grey. Blah. It feels like everyone that I follow on Instagram is on some type of insane beach vacation, and it’s got me itching for a getaway of my own… Or at least a little pop of color to an otherwise chilly, lackluster January.
In Denver, we usually get pretty lucky with sunny, and sometimes warm, winter days. But, let’s face it… We’ve still got a ways to go before our spring frocks and strappy sandals make their reemergence. Since the long-range forecast is still calling for #sweaterweather, I wanted to share a few of my favorite bright, fun, (and yes, warm) sweaters. I hope they carry you, and all of us, through to the day when dressing for warmth is no longer required.
This sweater from H&M is $35 – It is THE prettiest pale minty-green color and has a wide bell sleeve that I’m really digging. I paired mine with leather leggings and my favorite over the knee boots, but could also picture it half-tucked into a flowy midi skirt, or with skinnies and cute flats.
Okay, I am o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with this colorful striped sweater from Lou & Grey. SO SO cute and 40% off right now. It has a wide, boxy fit so it looks great with high-waisted denim or white pants. With the bright, bold coloring, I can actually picture myself wearing it year round …like with jean shorts and cute tennies, for those in-between days when the temp requires that at least half of your limbs are clothed. I like those days.
Bottom line: I’m not trading in my booties and jeans for sandals and skirts quite yet – Although, any of these picks would be adorable styled for spring with high-waisted denim shorts… or white ankle pants… or destroyed boyfriend jeans and cute spring-y flats. See? Versatility. I just wanted to share a few fun, sweater options, in case anyone else has the winter blues and is looking for a little color in their life.
I’ve linked a bunch of other knit favorites below – Some of which will be making their Instagram appearance soon – All options are under $80 and sure to bring some sunshine to your winter wardrobe!
