Okay, gals - Let’s just jump into it. If you haven’t already heard from every other influencer that you follow… The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here. While I am fully aware of how o v e r w h e l m i n g the sale’s coverage has been this year, there are a lot of really great pieces as part of the sale. My goal with a sale like this is to share products that I think are good finds - Style and quality at the right price. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not that kind of girl who can usually afford style and quality, so when I’m shopping for seasonal or trendy pieces, I usually opt for the style and sacrifice the quality because that’s what works with my budget. Because the Anniversary Sale discounts new fall lines, it’s a great opportunity to purchase quality fall and winter staples at a great price point. So, if you were saving up or thinking of grabbing a new pair of booties, a go-to utility jacket, or a cute handbag for the season that is inevitably upon us... Then now is your time.
I’ve tried to share products that I love and truly feel like are great staple pieces to have in your closet for fall. Plus a few extras….because, #nsale. Hopefully by the time this reaches you, they still have my picks in stock! Happy shopping!
I've organized my picks by category + offered some styling tips and honest reviews on the products that I actually purchased, below.
Tea Dress | I'm a sucker for a good tea dress - I can't resist the sweet little buttons down the front! I got this dress in the black floral print, but the pink color way is so cute too! This piece is one that can definitely be worn now, think: espadrille sandals + straw hat, or into fall with a denim or leather jacket (,,,or a chunky cardi... or a pullover knit) and some booties. There are so many adorable ways to style this dress, that I think you'd definitely get your $36 out of it.
Wrap Midi Dress | I've shared my love for wrap/surplice style tops and dresses before and this sweet number by Billabong (on sale for $43) is no exception. The tie waist + wrap fit combo is so, so flattering. I love this dressed up with a block heel for a wedding or dressed down with a pair of Chelsea boots, distressed denim jacket + hoops. Dangggg, I'm seeing it.
High Waist Crop Denim | I've been really on the hunt for some different denim... I love skinny jeans for life but I like to mix it up now and again, and have been so drawn to straight and wide leg silhouettes lately. I love that this pair has a high waist which is so necessary for me when the hem is cropped + the wash is the perfect medium! Can't wait to wear these with that bright green sweater. Swooooon.
Spanx Faux Leather Leggings | So, I haven't received these leggings yet, but I am SO looking forward to it (Sidebar: I do plan on updating this post a few times as I wear things/receive the rest in the mail). These leggings get a TON of hype from influencers because of the faux leather look + high waisted + the power of SPANX... sounds like a match made in heaven to me. These are the definition of versatile - I love them styled with more of a pulled together athlesiure look but they also look great with an oversized sweater and booties.
Balloon Sleeve Sweater | This sweater is the perfect go-to for fall - I love the balloon style sleeve and the mock neck. It's on sale for $32 and comes in three colors. I went for the bright green color and I can't wait to style it with some boyfriend jeans and some big ol' earrings!
Camo Utility Jacket | This jacket is so dang cute! I feel like every girl needs a reliable utility jacket in her closet for fall - The jacket isn't too heavy so could definitely be worn on a cool summer night, as well. I have a feeling that this jacket is going to be on repeat allllllll season! On sale for under $50, and comes in camo print or khaki green - This piece is already selling out FAST, so I recommend scooping it up ASAP + keeping an eye out for a restock.
Marc Fisher Sandal | These sandals are hands-down one of my favorite buys of the sale - They're suede so you can absolutely wear these now and into fall. I love the strap detailing and wrap around the ankle - They are seriously SO cute, you guys. On sale for $99 (will be $160 after the sale) and I plan on getting a ton of use out of them - I think you will, too.
Marc Fisher Chelsea Boot | These boots are so pretty. I've been in the market for a good pair of Chelsea boots and this pair by Marc Fisher fit the bill. These boots are still a bit of a splurge - On sale for $130 (regularly $210) - The leather is really nice, and I love the metallic detail on the toe and with the studs. Never been much of a black boot kinda girl... but kinda always wanted to be. The tides may be changing 'round here.
Studded Loafer | These loafers were love at first sight for me - I saw them in the sale preview catalog and knew right away that I wanted them. I don't any shoes like these guys, so that may why I'm so drawn to them? I've been patiently waiting for them to arrive by mail and sincerely hope that I'm cool enough to pull them off when they do. Only time will tell. I imagine styling this beauts with a chunky oversized sweater and skinnies or with some cropped, straight or flare denim + white tee and a cool blazer. Just picture it...
Brixton Baker Boy Cap | I ordered this baker boy cap in the pink corduroy and its seriously so cute! I've been wanting to jump on this hat train for a while but haven't. Brixton is definitely a well-known brand for quality, stylish hats so this was the perfect time for me to pull the trigger and experiment with this trend! This is big for me.. so I plan on keeping it simple and styling my cute pink hat with my new cropped denim (see above) and a classic white tee or simple sweater.
Sunglasses | Been wanting to try out a pair of Quay sunnies + These are super fun. 'nuff said.
